Trident 24 - Fin keel

About a third of Tridents are fin-keelers drawing 3'8"(1.11m).

Most of the 1500lbs (680ks) of ballast in the cast-iron fin is concentrated low down in the bulb. All Trident ballast keels are through-bolted from inside the reinforced hull with stainless steel bolts. The heads of the bolts are glassed over.

The finkeel's balanced spade rudder is deeper than the triple keel's.
