Trident 24 Web Site Help

The site is designed so that the navigation menu on the left is persistent throughout the site.
The main links on that navigation menu are:

The Association. Information about the Trident Owner's Association and a link to download an application form to join.

The Trident. Detailed information about the Trident 24 Yacht including specifications and a very detailed description of her qualities.

Trident Images. This is a link to a full blown Photo Gallery. Registered users can upload photos to their own galleries. there is a 'le-Card' facility to send electronic greeting cards containing any of the photos available in the galleries. Photos can be rated and have comments and descriptions associated with them. Additionally photos within the galleries can easily be shown on other pages in the site. A more detailed set of instructions for using the gallery is given below.

Message Board. This link always open in a separate window. It takes you to a full featured Forum, Messaging and Chat system. The message board is divided further into separate forums. Registered users can post new messages and reply to existing messages. The Forums are split between 'Private' and 'Public'. Any visitor to the site can see all messages and posts in the public forums without registering on the site. They cannot post replies or new messages without registering. The Private area will only be seen by TOA Members. All forums are moderated, and the webmaster and TOA reserve the right to remove inappropriate messages.

Links. This opens a sophisticated links directory. Visitors can add new links and rate existing ones. All links added by users will be validated before they are seen in the directory.

Tridents and Chandlery For Sale. A listing of Trident 24 boats and all manner of second hand chandlery for sale. Visitors to the site are welcome to see all advertisements and contact the seller directly. To add a boat for sale on line you need to be a TOA member. However, visitors may contact the webmaster and TOA Secretary by email to offer items for sale to be listed on this page.

Member's Index. This links to the TOA members only part of the web site. A username and password will only be issued to verified TOA members. It allows addition of boats and chandlery for sale, and access to Trident News and the Trident database.

Uploading Images To The Gallery
Log in to the gallery. If you are not registered, click to register.
Click 'Create/order my albums'
You now see the album manager. Click on 'New'
A new album, called 'New album' will apear in the list.
Select(highlight) the text in the whte box at the bottom of the list, and change the name to whatever you want.
Click 'Apply Modifications'.
It asks if you are sure, click OK.

The server does it's thing for a second or 2, then you are told the album was created. Click 'Continue'
You now have an album you can upload photos to.

To Upload: Log in.
Click 'Upload File' (blue text at the top of the main page).
5 boxes now appear, with 'Browse..' buttons next to them. You can upload up to 5 pics at a time.
Click a browse button and find the picture on your computer.
You can of course upload less then 5 files by leaving boxes empty.
When you have chosen the files, click 'Continue'.
The file is then uploaded. It may take a while depending on your line speed.
Once it is uploaded, the system tells you so. Click 'Continue'
Now the server renders the file, makes a thumbnail etc.
When it is finished it presents you with a screen where you can add details about the picture.
Select an album for the picture to go in. (if you have created more than one)
Fill in a title at least. A description is nice to have, and keywords make finding a picture easier. Add as you will.
When you are done... click 'Continue'
